We have got some great information for you today about the real estate industry as a whole. A few months ago, we had the opportunity to attend the National Association of Realtor's 2014 Real Estate Summit. There were brokers, managers, and owners from all different types of real estate companies around the country, and the world.

It was a great event, and we are able to interact with some of the true visionaries today in real estate. So, today we would like to share with you some interesting facts that were presented to us at the summit that we think you will find helpful.

First off, the median age of Realtors has risen dramatically in the last 5 years, from 46 in 2009 to 57 in 2014. The percentage of Realtors over the age of 65 has also increased in the past 5 years, from 13% to 25%. The percentage of Realtors under the age of 40 has also slipped to just 11%. To put this in perspective, the average age of all american workers is right around 41.

One of the questions we get asked all the time is "Is now a good time to get into the real estate business?" We  say yes. Based on percentages, companies are going to need to hire more agents. A shortage is also developing in the number of brokers and managers that will be needed.

We recommend that anybody who has a real estate license take a broker course and be in position to become a manager/broker. Not only is this a good time for people to get in the real estate business, but a great time for people to progress in their real estate business as well.

If you have any questions for us, feel free to call or send a quick email. We can't wait to hear from you!
